Inventec has long been concerned about climate change and continues to invest in sustainable environmental development, and is committed to the research and development of advanced green technologies and environmentally friendly materials. This year, in the "Patent Information Analysis Based on GXTI" report released by the Japan Patent Office (JPO), it performed outstandingly in the field of energy-saving technology for data center facilities, ranking 7th globally with the 54 International Patent Family (IPF), better than peers.

The report analyzes the green transformation technology patents applied for in major regions around the world from 2010 to 2021.  It is based on the Green Transformation Technologies Inventory (GXTI) created by the JPO in 2022 and helps companies understand the number of patents in each green transformation technology category through GXTI. It provide an objective understanding of the company's advantages in green transformation technology, which can help companies formulate business strategies and patent strategies, and specifically select several important technologies that are noteworthy for future green transformation trends, including data center for energy conservation (photonics technology, power semiconductors and facility energy conservation), perovskite solar cells, distribution route optimization, shared items, food stored at room temperature and carbon dioxide emissions trading and other technical fields.

Inventec's patented technology field included in the list this time is the energy saving category of data center facilities. In the global IPF patent family ranking, four Taiwanese companies are included in the list, including Hon Hai Group, Inventec, Quanta and Wistron, respectively ranked 4th, 7th, 9th and 19th.
